Terms of Service

"Service" means the lakesight.io SaaS platform that provides cost visibility and analytics for Databricks workspaces via the Databricks REST API.

"Customer" or "you" means the legal entity or individual professional subscribing to the Service.

"Workspace Credentials" means the Databricks workspace URL and Personal Access Token (PAT) provided by the Customer.

lakesight.io is a Business-to-Business (B2B) SaaS tool that connects to the Customer's Databricks workspace using credentials provided by the Customer. It retrieves job, run, and cluster data via the Databricks REST API to provide cost visibility dashboards and analytics.

lakesight.io does not store, process, or transmit any data from the Customer's Databricks environment beyond what is strictly necessary to render the Service. Workspace credentials (URL and PAT token) are stored exclusively in Microsoft Azure Key Vault, a certified secrets management service, and are never exposed, logged, or made visible in any interface or system outside of the secure vault.

The Customer is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and Workspace Credentials. Any activity under a Customer account is the Customer's responsibility. Customers must notify legal@lakesight.io immediately upon suspected unauthorized use.

The Service is offered on a monthly subscription basis. Prices are listed on the pricing page at lakesight.io. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the billing period. All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes (VAT or equivalent).

Payment is processed by our payment provider. By providing payment information, the Customer authorizes recurring charges for the subscription period.

lakesight.io may offer a free trial period. After the trial, continued use requires a paid subscription. lakesight.io reserves the right to modify or discontinue the trial offer at any time.

Customers may cancel their subscription at any time from their account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months, except where required by applicable law.

The Customer agrees not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
• Use the Service in a manner that violates applicable law or third-party rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system connected to the Service.
• Resell or sublicense the Service without prior written consent from lakesight.io.

All rights, title and interest in the Service, including software, designs, trademarks, and documentation, remain exclusively with Lakesight. Customers receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service during the subscription term.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LAKESIGHT.IO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES. TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY THE CUSTOMER IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

lakesight.io targets a service availability of 99.5% on a monthly basis, excluding scheduled maintenance. lakesight.io does not guarantee uninterrupted service and is not liable for unavailability resulting from third-party services (including Databricks API outages).

lakesight.io reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of France, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in the Customer's jurisdiction.
